Walking On Water
In the story of Peter walking on the water, we sometimes focus on the fact that Peter's faith wavered and he sank into the sea and had to be rescued by the Savior. But the fact that Peter sank into the water is not remarkable. It's what every person has done since the dawn of time. What's remarkable is that Peter had enough faith to walk on the water at all. Sometimes we zero in on our flaws and mistakes and ignore the impossible feats we accomplish when we exercise our faith. Sure, life may overwhelm us at times and our faith may waver and we may need to be rescued by the Savior, but it doesn't change the fact that we had the faith to do the impossible for a lot longer than anyone, including ourselves, could have imagined or hoped for.
