Make Room For Christ
The reason that Mary and Joseph were in Bethlehem when Christ was born was because they had to go to the home of their ancestors to be taxed. The reason there was no room in the inn is because Mary and Joseph weren't the only descendants of King David who had returned to the land of Bethlehem to be taxed. What this means is that Jesus Christ was born in a stable because the inn was full of his own relatives. Jesus Christ is the Creator and the Savior of this world. It doesn't take a lot of work to connect anything and everything back to Him. But sometimes we fill up our lives with good things, important things, things that may even be related to Christ, but then there is no room for Christ in our lives. Just because something is related to Christ does not mean that we should give it space in our hearts at the expense of keeping Christ out. If we make room for Christ, He will expand and magnify our hearts and our minds and our souls and our time to make room for all of the things related to Him, but we must give place to Him first above all.
